read the book back when.................

well it first came out in night shift....read all his books back then, until the bachman ones (and didnt like the first dark tower so didnt get the rest)....the stand was the best, it was the most poorly drawn out 200page/1000page book (and the movie was just----bad).

watched the sg1 marathon yesterday instead. Mostly the Daniel Jackson episodes it seems, but they were doing one liners in between commercials about the new sg universe that starts next month....something to watch (I hope).

and I know you are waiting for the dinner report, however; due to circumstances that I could control there was no dinner (and yesterday was just leftovers)....will resume with the dinner report when I actually eat dinner again.

and instead of my knee its my shoulder now----think we are in for it this winter (usa people).

Yes, I am very well aware of that. Just a very quick movement from one to the other. And we usually avoid anything about porn.

I prefer the 1994 Stargate movie with Kurt Russel as Col. Oneal. That movie blew my mind away when I was 5 years old.

wow 1989....I was in grad school....had been with my hubby (then boyfriend) for 2 years already.....and the recession was ending.
Yep remember it pretty well....though there were still no jobs in the quad cities where I lived then (and probably werent too many for the next decade after that either---its called the armpit of the midwest for a reason!)

and yes pwnd, then those people insult others when the topics strays away from the 2 or 3 they can add too. (and....welll nevermind)

dinner report---pizza, new joint, 2thumbsdown. the ravioli was good though (just like you bought it from a store--yep and I like it like that too...)
oh well, another bites the dust---but at least we had a coupon to try it out.

heard there was some really good rain in the midwest (brother called me to say he was ok---he lives south of chicago).....hope everyone is ok....and anyone hailing from the south----you guys need a boat?????

cant wait for the new stargate to start on friday. It looks pretty good, and heroes is on again as well as house (though missed the opener ....will catch it on a torrent sometime).

I was born in 1988. Yup. Mwhahahaha. So I was born 45 minutes or so away from where you were currently living cosy.

Pizza... mmmm. Who doesn't love pizza?

We actually didn't get much rain, but I couldn't tell you how much Chicago got.

I saw most of the House season opener. Pretty good.

yeah my brother was like that---he got married in 75 the other got married in 76 (he was the older one--was getting is PhD so they waited). I remember the wedding, man the dress I had to wear was awful and I wasnt even IN the wedding party (to old for flower girl to young from bridesmaid). I try to forget the '70's for the most part.

Yes Risky you are even older than I.

In 1988 I was living in both the quad cities and Normal---grad school; so pwnd I drove thru Peoria almost every weekend (hubby was still in college in rock island).......though that summer I was in sweden for a few weeks, and when we came back, dang that was a very very hot summer! We moved my hubby to off campus housing and it was like 100 out....seriously the hottest I had felt it (until I moved to japan).

I am still unmarried.

Oh Peoria... that was were I lived for 2-2.5 years before we moved to our current house. Now I live 20 minutes away from Peoria during the summer and live on Bradleys campus during the year.
